

On June 30, 1932 Oliver, Alice Howard from Alliance, Nebraska, welcome daughter, Velma Darlene. Siblings, Eva, Gail, Robert, Ernest, alphandine whom all preceded her in death. The family spent the next ten years living in alliance, Nebraska. The Howard family left Alliance in 1942, heading west to Salem, Oregon and later to Jefferson, Oregon where Darlene attended and graduated from Salem High School. She soon met and married Aloysius Peter Williamson, known to friends and family as Junior, on September 25, 1949. They began their new life together on the Williamson Family Farm, where she resided until November 2022, when she transitioned to the Independent Living area of Bonaventure in Keizer, Oregon.
Junior and Darlene lived a happy, vibrant life on the farm raising their four children, working the farm, enjoying their many friends and traveling the country, she was the owner of Williamson Show Cards as a sign maker, and Shryock's men's wear decorating window displays.
Christmas Eve was a big event for the entire family every year and continued as long as she was able to do it. Every year, the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids reminisce about Christmas Eve at Grandma Darlene's and how they miss it. Darlene consistently enjoyed organizing events and hosting gatherings for friends. She was also an active member of the Eagles and Elks Lodges, frequently participating in their various functions. Darlene loved to travel, and Junior was always happy to join her. They traveled the United States, Canada, and Mexico. After Junior passed away in 1997, she continued to travel throughout, Europe, Africa, Hawaii, Belize, Mexico with her daughter Denise. Darlene became a member of the Four Seasons and Red Hats groups. She participated in organizing luncheons and dinners several times a year and traveled during her spare time. She rated all her trips a perfect "10". She enjoyed life to its fullest.
Darlene included her children in many of the trips and events she planned, she loved watching her family grow. Darlene is survived by her children: Daniel (Julie), Diana (Doug), David (Melody), and Denise (cecil); nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life honoring Darlene will be held at the Keizer Elks Lodge, 4250 Cherry Avenue, Keizer, Oregon 97303. The celebration is scheduled for April 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Serenity Hospice or Doernbechers Children's Hospital.

Darlene will be remembered by her loved ones, friends, and those who knew her. Her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
