In my search to reconnect to a wonderful friend, Vivienne, I found this unexpected notice of her death. Scott, I am so sorry for your loss of Vivienne. She was an incredible friend. She endured, with no complaints, a trip to Sacramento with me for a goat show in the August heat. We shared movies. We shared wonderful conversation and many laughs. Her beautiful cottage gardens popped up overnight like in a fairy tale. Vivienne was easy to be with. She made it easy to love and admire her. I am deeply saddened by my loss of more joyful time spent with her. In her memory, I am planting an English rose, State of Grace, in my rose garden.
Scott, I am still in the house that Vivienne, you and your Dad spent a day putting up drywall. I would love to hear from you. Text or call 971-283-6995.

I remember Vivienne so well. We worked together for the state of Oregon and she  was so supportive of our job.  God bless her and grant her peace!

I will never forget Vivienne!  She worked with me at the State of Oregon informing people how to protect their land by taking care of their streams to prevent erosion.  /she was a wonderful assistant!  God bless her!!

May God bless this wonderful lady!  She and I worked together for the state  in some pretty horrific circumstances and she was such a terrific and helpful support.  So sorry to hear that she has passed but..she will be so happy up there!!!


We are shocked and deeply sad to learn about Vivienne's death.  We did not even know she was ill.  Vivienne was a wonderfully capable person who brought intelligence, poise, experience, and a great personal warmth to any encounter.  Our first thought when we hear her name is to remember her great love for, and knowledge about, birds.  We always enjoyed talking with her about England since our daughter and her family have lived there for seven years now.  She was an ardent and very capable hiker at a level above our hiking skills.  Nonetheless, she often joined our special hikes and was always a pleasure to have in the group.  Vivienne was a person who loved flowers and her home in addition to hiking and birding .   We deeply admired her in so many ways and will miss her wonderful smile and enthusiasm.  This is a great loss for many people.   Ginny and Al Metz

There are no words to express our sorrow over losing Vivienne. Her constant cheerfulness, positive attitude and delightful compainionship on hikes will be greatly missed.
