

Wayne was born on May 29, 1941, in Redding, California. He was raised with strong values that carried through his life, both personally and professionally. Wayne attended Oregon State University, where he earned a degree in Business and was a proud member and served as chapter president of the Chi Phi fraternity.
On Jan 26, 1965, Wayne married his first and true love, Karol Cox, with whom he shared many meaningful years together.
Wayne built a successful 30+ year career, beginning in international banking. He spent the majority of his career in construction project management, overseeing financial and administrative decisions. His final project was leading the build of a deluxe condominium complex on the Salem waterfront. He was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to doing things the right way. Outside of work, Wayne had many hobbies and interests. He had a deep passion for fishing, skiing, hunting, and golf. He found joy in coaching Jefferson, OR youth sport; specifically baseball, basketball, and football at the Albany Boys and Girls club.
In retirement, he went on many travel adventures with Karol and his friends. They travelled the globe to places such as Australia, Belize, Hawaii, and many European countries. He also loved celebrating his favorite sports teams, the Oregon State Beavers, San Francisco 49ers, and San Francisco Giants, often sharing those highs and lows with his sons.
Wayne is survived by his sons, Ryan K. Cox and Tyler W. Cox; and his beloved grandchildren, Emma, Elliott, Charlotte, Charlie, Jack, and Carter Cox, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Wayne will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his love of the outdoors, and his charismatic personality which lit up the lives of those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love that will be deeply missed.
