Willard Finley of Brooks, OR was promoted to heaven on Wednesday, Feb. 8th, 2012 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Evelyn Finley and his brother Leonard Finley. He is survived in life by his wife, Pearl Finley, by 6 sisters, 1 brother and 4 sons: Barry, Jim, Don and Harlan. He was also blessed with 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Willard was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a Corporal in the MP's, where he served in Tokyo, Japan and in Korea. He spent most of his adult life working in lumber related industries. He retired from Lumberman's in Dallas, Or. Willard was an avid woodworker, gardener and painter. Many of his family members have examples of his woodworking craftsmanship in their homes. He enjoyed volunteering many hours of his time at Life Church in West Salem. Willard will be missed.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, Feb. 13th at 3:00 P.M. at Life Church, 255 College Dr. N. W. Salem, Or. 97304
