Bea had an amazing intellect and completed all but one year of pharmaceutical school before she married Robert Glenn July 18, 1948 in Reno, Nevada. They were later divorced, but not before they raised five amazing children—all of whom surrounded her at the end. She instilled in them a strong work ethic and loyal sense of family. She was an excellent mother-in-law to Mark, Teresa, Danya, Carol, John and Dan.
After her divorce, she went on to get a degree in accounting from Salt Lake Community College. Bea was a loyal Democrat and religiously volunteered at the polls.
Bea’s first love was her family. Her second love was crossword puzzles and coffee or imbibing in an occasional beer on the deck of the home she shared with Beth, Mark, Cruiser and Jet.
She was such a loving, big-hearted woman. The best one we all knew. She could be told the most sensitive secrets and she would keep them close to her heart while giving the best advice possible. She was such a great sport. When her granddaughter, Beth was little, she would wake her Grandma as soon as the sun came up, to go swing in the backyard of the old house on Chicago Street, and Bea always went willingly.
Never once has anyone heard her complain or say anything negative about someone else. She shined so bright. She had a sense of humor that everyone loved. When she went to Sandy Health and Rehab she would joke and say, “Welcome to my hotel! I am being rehabbed!” She made friends and would always find the goodness wherever she was.
Grandma placed family first and always worried about everyone before herself. She would do anything she could to make you feel better, and knew all the right things to say. Beatrice had no enemies, she accepted everybody with no judgment.
The family would like to express many thanks to Sandy Rehab for the wonderful care they provided Bea in her last months.
She is survived by her children, Douglas Glenn, Gregory Glenn (Teresa), Beth Crim (Mark), Roger Glenn (Danya), and Janet Glenn, and one brother Keith Price (Norma). She was preceded in death by another brother Tom Price.
She has 10 grandchildren, Matt, Andy, Mike, CJ, Josh, Ryan, Allie, Beth, Mattie, and Zach. She has 6 great-grandchildren Lexi, Ashley, Hayden, Hunter, and Penny Jean and Connor; 3 step-great-grandchildren, (Rylee, Keegan and Kenlee) and two more on the way.
Her funeral will be held at Evans and Early, 574 East 100 South, Salt Lake City. A visitation will be held Friday, November 13, from 6:00-8:00 and from 10:00-11:00 Saturday, November 14, 2015. Services to follow.
