Bessie Lee Norberg Brooks, 78, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on April 28, 1937 to Angus Hyrum and Katherine McAfee Norberg in Berkeley, California. Married Tom D. Brooks on September 4, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple (later divorced).
Bessie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the Church. Bessie is survived by her children, John Welsford Brooks (Lucy), Katherine Marie Allen; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother James A. Norberg (Helen) of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 11:00AM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Online condolences may be left at wasatchlawn.com.
