Raised in Iowa, served in the Air Force, solo bicycled through Europe, and climbed Mt Everest base camp, Brendan was always a traveler and adventure seeker. Graduating with his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Brendan spent his 35 year career in the benefits and healthcare industry. He was fascinated by inclement weather and the unknown of space, had picked up woodcarving, and spent as much time as possible either exploring the outdoors or cooking a gourmet meal with his wife. Most of all, he relished in helping others in any way he could – whether it be assisting others at work, leading helpful and meaningful conversations with family, teaching his grandchildren the right way to eat cupcakes, or helping out a stranger, Brendan loved sharing his wisdom and experiences with everyone around him.
Brendan is survived by those that made him the happiest – his wife Camile Drew, daughter Makenna Mullins, son Patrick Johnson, mother Heli Schissel, sister Jemi Krelle, and six grandchildren Lennon, Harris, Jack, Eli, Miles, and Max…. and also dog daughter Sadie Drew Krelle.
Brendan left this world a better place than he entered it. His family and friends will honor him by doing the same, and he will be celebrated in many different ways for years to come.
