Carolyn was an incredibly talented, fun and loving person. As a child she performed on radio in programs such as “Children’s Friend of the Air”, playing parts such as Little Liza Honeybee which was one of her favorites. She graduated from South High School and was offered a full scholarship in drama. Instead, she chose to devote her life, time and talents to her family. She had many skills including sewing, drawing, painting, quilting, crafting, decorating and gardening. Carolyn had a great sense of humor. She was very gregarious and she loved to go out to dinner or to a movie with one of her many friends or family members. She loved to win at scrabble!
Carolyn remained close friends with her girlfriends from school. The “club girls” got together every month and called each other “kid.” She is survived by four of the “club girls”: Helen Wyatt, Sandra Saunders, Penny Poulton, and Marsha Reese.
Carolyn was active in the LDS church. She served as a Relief Society President and also enjoyed working in the primary. She had many wonderful friends in her LDS wards who showed her great love and kindness.
Carolyn’s most precious connections were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She maintained a close relationship with each one, keeping track of their ups and downs and always being there to support or celebrate them. She was cherished by each one in return.
