Dale Paul Glade passed away on March 9, 2019, at the age of 96. He was born February 19, 1923 to James Vernon and Bessie Cushing Glade. He was one of eight children and is survived by his sister Jackie (Alan) Jacobsen. He was preceded in death by sisters, Louise, Ruby, Virginia and June, also brothers, Gordan “Bud” and James Vernon Jr. Dale served in the Pacific arena during World War II and saw a lot of action in the Navy as a radar specialist on submarines. Following the war, he came home and married Elaine Will who was a good friend of his sister Ruby, who served with her during the war. They were married on June 12, 1946 in Lisbon, Ohio; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 18, 1972. The had three children, David, Elaine (who died shortly after birth), and Mark. Dale graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and then went to work for the family business, the Glade Candy Company, later becoming President and General Manager from 1963 to 1995. He was involved in many areas of church, community and industry service. In Oct. of 1986 his wife of 40 years, Elaine, passed away. In 1987 he married Carole Robinson. He is survived by sons, David (Carrol), Mark (Debbie), wife Carole, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Wasatch Memorial Lawns, 3401 Highland Dr.
