Dorothy was an amazing woman. I only visited her a few times but she immediately made you feel like a friend.

Dorothy came to my son's missionary farewell in January 2018 even though she didn't feel well. She was one of his greatest cheerleaders! Love that woman!

I absolutely loved Dorothy! I live down the block in Orem from her. My son was her home teacher before he left on his mission and he loved her so much! He would always come home with great stories and insights that she had shard with him. She made him feel loved, appreciated, and confident. When he did his fund raiser for his Eagle Scout project, Dorothy paid for everyone of her neighbors in the little apartment complex where she lived. She shared her testimony freely in word and deed with everyone she met. Dorothy was an angel on earth, and I feel so blessed to have gotten to know her. May you have peace as you morn the loss of your loving mother, resting in the assurance that you will one day hear her voice and feel her warm embrace again.

Some people are Angels here on earth. They don't wait to get to Heaven. I have never known a woman with more love and caring than Aunt Dorothy. I appreciate the hugs and genuine love she gave to me. I know she will be eternally happy as she looks back on her time here and how much she helped people.

We are so profoundly sad, and happy at the same time. There are no words to adequately describe how we feel about your Mom, one of the most amazing women we have ever known.

She came into our lives when we needed her, and she changed us--our family forever. We hope you don't mind that we have loved and claimed Dorothy as family since 1988.

I called her yesterday, June 19th, and she didn't answer, which was unusual, so I called again in case she couldn't get to the phone in time. Now I know why.

She used to tell me " I don't tell the Lord what to do, I just report for duty!" Her last assignment was to finally go see Him.

We will profoundly miss our Dorothy, the gold standard to which we have referred so often over these many years. There will never be another like her.

We send loving and caring thoughts to the whole Walker family..from Alton and Marti Ann Akers, and the entire Ihlanfeldt family, with heartfelt gratitude for the life of your Mom and the influence she had on us all.

Love YOU forever, Dorothy.
