Effie Edwards was born in Glasgow, Scotland on February 7th, 1923. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 19th, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She lived most of her life in Salt Lake. She was a lover of music, singing, dancing, chocolate and her faith.
Effie was known for her sense of humor, and Scottish accent. She and Charles were married in the Salt Lake Temple. If she wasn’t on the patio sunning her knees, she and Charlie could be found camping with their 5th wheel. They were avid travelers, visiting everywhere from Singapore to the Middle East, Hawaii, Alaska and the Panama Canal. She served 2 church missions with the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints with her loving husband, the first to Eerie Pennsylvania, the second to Independence Missouri. Charlie used to tell her, “You can’t get to everything.” and her response would always be “Well, I can try!”
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Edwards, her dear Mother and 4 siblings. She is survived by her children, Lori (Craig) Smith, Brad (Kim) Edwards, and Cameron Edwards, 3 grandchildren, Ashley (Nate) Fuller, Brooks (Breann) Edwards and Madison (Mark) Malmgren and 3 great granddaughters, Brighton Carter, Scottie Jane and Miley Effie. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy (Barbara) Aitken and sister, Adelia (Newell) Richens and Ruth Little.
