Eloise May Fehr took her last breath in her Salt Lake City home on January 14, 2019. She was 97 years old. She was born October 7, 1921 to Caroline “Carrie” Emilia Gullicksen and Christian Bolton Fehr in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the only daughter following 3 big brothers who adored her and she them. She graduated from Granite High School, attended Henegar Business School, and went on to work and retire from Mountain Bell Telephone Company in 1974 after 30 years.
Eloise loved the arts, the ballet, the opera, theatre, golf, shopping, travel, collecting dolls, and anything with chocolate & sugar. She was driving a car well into her 90’s. She was a sharp and fascinating lady, but also humble. She was always singing! Not a day went by without a song. She was a devoted daughter and family and friends were important to her, although she never married or had kids herself. She was a doting aunt to her nephews and niece and her great nephews and nieces.
She was the last remaining Fehr of her own generation and the generation directly below her. She is survived by her 2 niece-in-laws and 1 nephew-in-law, 16 great nephews and nieces and their children.
Preceded in death by her parents as well as brothers Harold, Earl, and George, nephews Don, Gary, Dennis, and niece Kristi Fehr Briggs. There must be quite the reunion and celebration on the other side right now!
We wish to thank the family, and ladies who became family, who spent the last few years taking care of and loving our Eloise. Thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice and Brenae for your heartfelt service.
A short service will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00pm in the chapel at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, SLC, UT
