Eloise Ostrander, 68, passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2021 with family by her side.

She was born July 14, 1952 in Casper Wyoming to Clyde Lyman Anderson and Hilda Dix Anderson. Eloise was the middle child of three children and would not let you forget how bad being the middle child was. She married Duaine, April 22, 1977 and they were blessed with four children: David, Craig, Adam, and Amy.

Eloise had such an amazing heart, she loved her family more than anything, well almost anything. Her grandbabies were her greatest blessing. She enjoyed taking them to Hires for burgers and shakes. You could always find her at the Oakley rodeo, early to watch all the cowboys ride. Eloise loved sports, she was the biggest Utah Utes fan. She enjoyed cheering for Utah Gymnastics, and thought she could beat the Williams sisters in tennis. Eloise was a phenomenal accordion player and would put on concerts in the basement for her family. In her spare time she was the secretary of the Babe Ruth baseball league and ran the snack bar. She was there everyday and all day Saturday making sure that everything ran smooth and still managed to make sure everyone was where they needed to be.

El’s family will miss their late-night cabin adventures and their favorite “school” teacher. She was loved by so many people and we were all blessed to have her in our life. She will be missed, but never forgotten! She is survived by her husband, Duaine, and her children David (Tiffany) Ostrander, Craig (Allison) Ostrander, Adam (Jennifer) Ostrander, and Amy (Tyler) Daniels. Eloise is also survived by her siblings: Eric (Judy) Anderson and Elaine (Mark) Mortensen. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Rylee, Ty, Hadlee, Brody, Landon, Wyatt, Sadie and Cody.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Clyde and Hilda Anderson, Duaine’s parents, Lester and Irene and her grandbabies Bo and Cassidy Ostrander.

A viewing will be held on Monday May 10,, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the LDS chapel located at 6695 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah 84084. I will always remember how she made me feel, so accepted and loved. Eloise and her siblings have that amazing quality of making you feel like part of the family. She has passed on on this quality to her kids. I am heartbroken, I loved her like she loved me.
