Glenn Robinson

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away June 8, 2011 at the age of 96. Loved, admired, and respected by all who knew him, he will be greatly missed.

Born December 4,1914 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin Hyrum and Eula Gertrude Morgan. Married Jane Elizabeth Shurtleff on April 21, 1939 and enjoyed 47 wonderful years together before she passed away in May, 1986. Later married to Betty Lou Austin, to whom he was a devoted and caring companion for 24 years. They enjoyed traveling, golfing and performing German extraction work for the LDS church for 15 years.

Glenn graduated from Granite High School in 1932 and attended the University of Utah before serving an LDS mission to New Zealand. He loved the beautiful country and the wonderful Maori people. After his mission, he served in the US Army, 20th Air Force in the Western Pacific Iwo Jima, in World War II.

Glenn joined Zions First National Bank in October 1950 and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and held various positions throughout his career. He worked for Zions Bank for 36 years and retired as a Senior Vice President in Marketing and Branch Administration.
