1955-2015
Julie Ann Emerson Skidmore, our beautiful and beloved daughter, sister, mother and aunt, returned to the arms of her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2015. Julie was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 4, 1955 to Robert Raymond Emerson and Esther Parmelee Emerson. Julie was a sweet and gentle spirit whose immense kindness, loyalty, and tender heart touched all who knew and loved her. If you were lucky enough to receive Julie’s love and friendship, you have enough to last a lifetime.
Julie graduated from Skyline High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the University of Utah. She worked for the telephone company for 27 years, and most recently for the Utah State Treasurer’s Office.
Julie loved her family, especially her two sons David and Matthew. Her heart was irreparably broken with the passing of Matthew in April of this year, and while her family is devastated and misses her every minute, they are comforted by knowing Julie and Matthew are together again.
Julie is survived by her mother and dearest friend Esther Emerson, her sisters Mary Lou Emerson and Janie Emerson, her beloved son David Perry Skidmore and his fiancée Krystal Garner, her nephews Robert Skidmore and Michael Skidmore, her precious beagle Abbie, and her white cat Abraham. Julie was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, youngest son Matthew, and many pets that were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, located at 836 36th Street in Ogden, Utah.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you plant a pink rose in Julie’s memory and nurture it with the love and friendship you feel for her. Online condolences may be shared at www.evans-earlymortuary.com.
