Ken and Ruby were great friends to my parents, Frank and Norma Dahn, and my Inlaws, Roland and Charlene Pierce. I remember star gazing with him at the arches. What a wonderful man.

We loved Ken and Ruby. We have lost a great friend. Now he can see the great arches in the sky after more than 30 years of seeing the Arches here on earth. No telescope needed. May God bless all of the family.

Cheif Curtis was an outstanding fire officer and leader. He always knew the right thing to do and lead with a clear direction and a very wry sense of humor. He was a great friend to my father (also hired in 1950) and was very kind to me. I will always remember his kindness when my grandfather died in 1980. I took many lessons from him in my own fire service career and he taught me much just by being the kind of man he was. My deepest sympathies are with his family on the loss of a great man.

Valin and Byron,

Your dad was a wonderful role model and mentor to me; he always had such great wisdom to share.
I feel so fortunate to have been friends with you and to have had the opportunity to have known such an exceptional example of a husband, father, grandfather and friend.

We will never forget Ken.

Valin and family,
I was saddened to hear of Ken passing. I am sure he is with Ruby and so happy again. I will never forget the years of working with him at Headquarters, the Mountain Men outings, the steak frys, the parties, etc. that I was lucky enough to be a part of. Ken was instrumental in my interest in astronomy and I have never seen Jupiter since Ken showed it to me. He will be missed...my mom and dad (Betty and Earl Kenworthy) will be happy to see him again.
