Kenneth, Ken, Kenny Baker, Deacon Max Depew graduated from this earthly life on November 19th, 2018. He was born on November 22nd, 1933 in Payson, Utah to the parents of Max Allen Depew and Rela Belle Cloward Depew.
He is survived by his beloved wife Kay Adelia Erts Depew, his two siblings Afton Depew Maurin, Monte Depew, along with his six daughters, LeeAnn Mudd, Laurie Cooper, Sherrie Mann, Carol Artez, Ruth Wilkey and Julie McGinnis. Ken was blessed to have 26 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Max Allen Depew and Rela Belle Cloward Depew, his sister Renae Depew Thomas, his step daughter, Justine Kay Marath, great grandchild Clairisa Kelly Mann, nephews Dennis Maurin, Ronald Albert Maurin and Bart Lester Thomas.
Ken spent his years growing up in Thistle Valley Ranch and Payson, Utah. He graduated from Payson High School and went on to earn his Bachelors of Arts and his Masters of Speech Pathology and Audiology at Brigham Young University.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and bore his testimony of its truthfulness up to his final moment on earth.
He and his first wife, Arsenath Ann Ellison, of thirty-nine years had 6 daughters. After their divorce Ken married his current wife, Kay of twenty seven years.
Ken’s savvy business sense and work ethics brought him much success. His hobby was work. He was always known to be working on a project and never wasted a moments time. He had a gift to tell a great story and was never lacking an audience to hear what he had to say. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. It would take a multitude of hands to replace Ken’s hands and all that he accomplished during his sojourn on earth. He truly was a beloved man.
