"Tell me a story, Story Princess"
Larry Olson Lemmon died peacefully at home Nov 3, 2018. He was born in Salt Lake July 18, 1939 to Claude C. and Virginia Olson Lemmon, the youngest of five children. Larry made an early theater debut as the boy who introduced each episode of "The Story Princess" TV series. He also appeared in local theater productions. In his teens, he played Tom in the Young People's Theater production of Tom Sawyer, and acted in several plays at South High. After graduation, he attended the University of Utah and joined Sigma Nu. Larry married Anne Torney (they had met when she played Becky Thatcher to his Tom Sawyer), and they had two sons: Michael Larry and Steven Eric. They later divorced. He married Terry Koeppen, and adopted her daughter, Tracy Irene. Larry worked in the printing industry for GSA, Quality Press, and the University of Utah. Later, he was regional circulation rep and retired from TV Guide. Family and friends appreciated his constant sense of humor. He excelled at duplicate bridge, and played throughout his life. He was an enthusiastic golfer until his health failed. He traveled to Sweden, and lived briefly in California as a young man, and after retirement for seven years in Ubud, Bali. Preceded in death by his parents; beloved sister, Shirley Mae; two siblings who died young; and sister-in-law, Mary Jane. Survived by brother, Hal E. Lemmon, Anne Lemmon, his sons, and granddaughter Caitlin Michael; Terry Lemmon, daughter, Tracy Bushman (Ward); grandchildren, Janessa, Jacob, and Cynthia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. This is his story-so far. Please join the family at an open house Friday, November 9, from 6 pm at 1176 Iris Lane. Memorial Service Saturday, 10 am at Holladay 2nd Ward, 2065 E. 4675 S., visiting half-hour prior. Burial at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery following the service.
