

Linda Lee Landes Sanders, passed away on November 29, 2016. She was the first child of Leland William Landes and Darlene Kendall, and was born November 25, 1944 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon graduating from Skyline High School she attended both BYU and the U of U. With only a map and arrangements with a college friend she drove from Utah and ended up in Santa Monica, California. When in Santa Monica she met Joseph Sanders, a local California boy. After a brief courtship their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Linda loved the mountains and the ocean, she loved picnics, gardening, music and doing art. She graduated from SLCC with a degree in Graphic Design. This love of art was a deep part of who she was as a person. She worked to become an excellent artist, and demonstrated her abilities later in life by being part of art festivals, art galleries and by teaching art at the Peterson Art Center. She also worked for Intermountain Health Care and the Salt Lake County Sheriffs office.
Linda is survived by her husband Joseph William Sanders, her daughter Suzanne Sanders her son Michael William Sanders (Jill), Mitch Eriacho (Sam) and grandchildren Cooper, Oliver, Lucy, Eric, Vanessa, Ellerena, and Tyler, and her brothers Ted (Suzy) and Robert (Kim). She is preceeded in death by her parents Leland William Landes and Darlene Kendall Landes and her beloved son David William Sanders.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Cottonwood Creek Ward Chapel, 1250 E Murray Holladay Road (4780 S), Salt Lake City, Utah with a visitation from 10:00-11:00. Friends and Family may call on Sunday, December 4 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 S Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Internment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
