

Marion Shapiro Sher, age 95, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Marion was born on January 18, 1917 in Los Angeles, CA. She married her love, Harry Sher, on August 2, 1936.
Marion was an active member of Congregation Kol Ami, past Vice President of the Sisterhood, a charter member and past President of the local chapter of Hadassah, and past President of the local chapter of B’nai Brith women. She was a charter member of Phi Sigma Sigma, a non-sectarian sorority.
Marion and Harry were co-owners of the Eagle Company along with her brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Miriam Shapiro. Marion is survived by her three daughters, Judy Eschler (Floyd), Sherry Koenig (Bernard), and Annette Church (Bob), her 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Millcreek Hospice and Suzy Beacham for the loving care.
Services will be held at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South on October 22, 2012 with interment at Montefiore Cemetery. Shiva will be held for one night only Monday October 22, 2012 at 7:30 PM. The Family will receive friends after services back at the home of Marion Sher.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hadassah or Congregational Kol Ami.
