Nedra was born on February 24, 1936 to Effie Johnson and Bert Deakin in Brigham City, Utah.
In 1959, she met and married her husband, George Poulos. George has fond memories of when he met his loving wife and how she looked in a beautiful pink dress she was wearing. George would lovingly say to Nedra throughout her life, “I’ve loved you forever and I’ll love you until I die.”
Nedra and George had four beautiful children, George Poulos Jr., James Poulos, Christine Poulos Nolte and Kathy Poulos Wald.
Her children will always remember her as a loving mother, spending cherished time with her kids playing and picnicking in the back yard, camping, fishing and teaching them to cook. She was always generous with gifts and her time to those she loved. Birthdays and Christmas were her favorite times.
Nedra was always a very hard worker. After graduating from Cheyenne High School, she worked as a Stenographer and Bookkeeper until she became a mother. Later, she spent many years working with her husband George, running their own businesses.
She was preceded in death by her son James Pete Poulos and brother Bert Deakin.
