Ralph Leonard Yates

1933-2011

Ralph L. Yates passed away June 4, 20ll.

He was born July 8, 1933 to Leonard and Ola Yates, in Cuervo, New Mexico.

Married Daretta Maki in 1952.

He enlisted in the Navy and spent three years on Guam with his wife and two sons, where they enjoyed the South Pacific Island.

Ralph retired after 27 years with Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. and Sears Logistics. Then he and Daretta “hit the road” in their motorhome as fulltimers.

He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salt Lake City & Trinity Lutheran Church, Kalispell, Montana.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Daretta; son Keith; daughter-in-law Carol (Dennis); granddaughter Ailee; and great grandson Christopher; sisters Linda and Vada; and sister-in-law, Kathy (John). Preceded in death by son Dennis and brother John.

Memorial Services to be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, June 16th at 7:00p.m., 475 East Herbert Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah.
