

“Uncle Bob”
Our beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, age 79, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010.
Bob was born of a Jewish father, Graham Susman and a Mormon Mother, Helen Anstee Susman, on March 4, 1931 in Ogden, Utah. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1934. As a boy he enjoyed scouting, building model airplanes, collecting railroad trains, and photography.
He attended East High School, where he was a member of the ROTC and was a photographer for the “Eastonian” year book. After graduation in 1949, he began his college education at the University of Utah. His schooling was put on hold, when he joined the 378 Combat Engineers, US Army, and served in Korea. After returning home, he continued his education, graduating June 9, 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commercial Art.
During the 60’s and 70’s, Bob was a Technical Illustrator for Sperry Rand Corporation. He later was a Zoning Administrator and office staff Supervisor in the Department of Building and Housing, Salt Lake City Corporation. On December 19, 1961, he married Judith Annette Ellis, Later divorced.
Bob loved tinkering with old cars, and enjoyed building and flying radio controlled model airplanes.
On March 2, 2010 he married Suhaemi, from Indonesia. He is survived by his wife and his sister, Mary (Harry) Glick; and many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, SLC, Friday, April 16, 2010 at 12:00. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South from 10: 45 to 11:45 am prior to Graveside Service.
