Our sweet loving father, devoted husband, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully October 30, 2020. He was born September 19, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Sidney Hooper Busby and Eleanor Susanna Keep.
Sidney graduated from West High School in 1943 and attended the University of Utah. He married the love of his life, Barbara, 73 years ago in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they shared a wonderful life with their three children. His career consisted of 40 years at Mountain Fuel Supply Company working as a land surveyor and as a safety supervisor. With his great carpentry skills, he helped build the family cabin where he created many years of good memories. He loved road trips. One of his favorite places was Jackson Hole where he spent several weeks each year for family vacations. He spent many years living part time in St. George golfing, enjoying family, friends, and the beautiful landscapes. He loved being outdoors, fishing, snowmobiling, and just enjoying the sunshine. His grandchildren always put a big smile on his face. He loved traveling and spending time with them. In his later days, he enjoyed viewing family photos, reading, doing puzzles, word searches, and snacking on cookies or peanuts. We are all lucky to have known and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Cydnee Fullmer and Susan Rogalski (Robert), five grandchildren, Adriane Moeller (Matthew), Ashlee Racine, Bronson Fullmer, Scott Swensen (Stephanie), and Kristin Swensen, along with eight great grandchildren, Makailee, Makenzie, Tristan, Ella, Lincoln, Avery, Grayson, and Keegan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Elaine Hansen Busby and son, Jeffrey Ralph Busby, sisters, Eleanor Weeks, Leone Johnson, Dorothy Victor, and Carol Busby.
Many thanks to his kind neighbors and the wonderful caregivers at Sunrise of Sandy and Inspiration Hospice Care for their loving care in his last days.
