Stephen Lutes

Stephen “Steve” Lutes, 66 of Chester, Utah, passed away, Monday, July 11th, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 16th, 2016 at the Church of Latter Day Saints building located at 5000 W. Janette Ave, West Valley City, 84120.

Steve was born July 13, 1950, in San Diego, California to Walter and Barbara Lutes. He served in the United Stated Air Force from September 1968 until he was honorably discharged in May 1978. Steve worked as a computer analyst until he retired. He was an avid amateur farmer, raising cows, pigs, and goats. He also enjoyed spending time in nature; camping and walking.

Steve is survived by his four sons, Scott Lutes and wife Meridith of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Lutes and wife Josette of Astoria, OR, Mark Lutes and wife Kayla of West Valley City, UT, Kevin Lutes of Huntsville, AL, and Steve’s daughter Kathy Bailey and husband Scott of San Diego, CA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara.
