William Harrington

1929 – 2010

William Daniel Harrington, 80, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2010. He was born October 28, 1929 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Sophia Docken and John “Jack” Harrington. Bill moved to Long Beach, CA, when he was 8. He attended University High School. Soon after he graduated, he enlisted in the Navy, serving after WWII.

Bill married Diana May Berg, later divorced. They had one son. In 1984, Bill married Patricia Lee Coleman. They lived in Van Nuys, CA, until 1987 when they moved to Salt Lake. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple, February 10, 2010.

Throughout his life, he worked in industrial sales and service, owning and operating his own business while living in California. He retired in 2002.

Bill is survived by Patricia, Shawn Harrington and 3 grandchildren. Step children Ron, Steve, Jeff, Cindy and Jerry Coleman, 13 step grandchildren, and Diana Berg.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. at Peruvian Park Ward, 1480 East 8600 South, Salt lake City, Utah. Online condolences may be submitted at www.wasatchlawn.com.
