William Reed Jensen

June 29, 1941 – February 18, 2022

William Reed Jensen, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family on Friday, February 18, 2022.

Reed was born in Salt Lake City on June 29, 1941 to Vivian Jensen and Kathleen Rose. Reed attended Olympus High School and graduated in 1959. He earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Utah.

Reed served as a missionary for The Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North British England Mission from 1962 to 1964. He married Patricia Ann Demke on September 10, 1965 in the Salt Lake City temple. They had 4 children, Scott (Stephanie), Brent (Kimberly), Kellee (Mike) and Stacy (Rick). Before passing, he was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Reed was an avid golfer and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacationing, spending time in St. George and spending time with his family and friends.

Reed was preceded in death by his parents, brother and a sister. He is survived by his wife and family.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12:00 pm, at the LDS chapel located at 2675 E. 4430 S. Salt Lake City, UT 84124. A viewing will be held Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 6 to 8 pm, and the day of the service at the church from 10 to 11:20 am. Gravesite dedication and interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
