Aaron Virginia Powell

A funeral Service will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel at 3:30 PM Tuesday August 7, 2012 the burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, TX under the direction of Johnson's

Funeral Home, with First United Methodist Church.

She was born of Charlie and Mary Wood, Wood March 06, 1922, the fourth child of 9.

She married William Orbie " Buddy " Rogers June 20,1936. They celebrated 34

years together until his death in 1971

She was a meat wrapper for Safeway Grocery for 28 years. She retired April 1981 so she would

be able to travel and fish.

She and her twin sister lived at Carthage Healthcare Center Carthage, TX for several

years where they made many friends prior to them moving apart in late June of this year.

Survivors are her daughter Joan Taylor & husband M. C., Beaumont, TX , twin sister

Edith Lavenia Aley, Jacksboro, TX, sister Ruth Rowland, Kalamazoo, Michigan, brother Bill Wood,

Alexandria, LA,

Granddaughters Karen Maxwell, & Kaye O'Leary & husband Brock. Great-Grandsons Jacob Harding &

Connor O'Leary. Great-granddaughter Amber Maxwell, Special nephew Kenneth L. Aley & wife Pat.

Many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her second husband Johnny Powell, brothers Heston, Vernon,

twins Allen & Alvis Wood and one sister Ila May Sullivan.
