Aletha “Babe” Jean Beyerlein of San Angelo, TX passed away on January 25, 2023. She was born on December 10, 1939 in San Angelo, TX to H.C. and Christine Murtishaw. She was raised in different parts of New Mexico and West Texas, she was the only child until the age of 15 when her brother Mark was born. Babe attended Bronte High School and graduated in the class of 1957. She was the Store Manager’s Secretary for Sears and Roebuck in Indianapolis. Babe married James “Jim” Richard Beyerlein on March 17, 1961 together they had 1 daughter. She was married to Jim for 40 years until his passing in 2002. Many years later, Babe met a significant other Glen. She was a proud member of First Baptist Church. Babe also enjoyed attending the symphonies and plays as well as traveling. In this season of life Babe volunteered at House of Faith, Neighbors Café, Senior Corp RSVP and the Red Cross. She was preceded in death by her husband James Beyerlein; her parents H.C. and Christine Murtishaw; and her Grandson Kyle Takach. Those left to cherish her memory are her brother Mark Murtishaw of Timberson, NM; her daughter Julie Takach and husband Thomas of Indian Land, SC; her granddaughter Nichole Johnston and husband Dean of Indian Land, SC; her great grandchildren Aaron Johnston and Layla Johnston of Indian Land, SC and nephew Eric Murtishaw of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Babe’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home.
