Pastor Alex Tenorio, devoted husband, father, grandfather, pastor, and faithful servant of the Lord, entered eternal rest on July 3, 2026. He was born on August 10, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas to Juan and Benita Tenorio.
Alex’s journey of faith began in 1991 when he surrendered his life to Christ—a moment that transformed not only his future, but the futures of countless souls he would later touch. That same year, he moved to San Angelo, Texas, where God began shaping the ministry that would define his legacy. In 2004, he founded House of Restoration, a church built on hope, healing, and the power of restoration through Christ. For more than 22 years, he faithfully shepherded God’s people, preaching with conviction, praying with passion, and loving with a gentle, steady heart.
His ministry extended far beyond the pulpit. Alex had a special love for ministering in the barrios, reaching those often overlooked and reminding them of God’s unfailing love. He served as Vice President of La Hermosa Ministry, and he led Cruising for Christ Rallies at Kirby Park, bringing worship, outreach, and unity to the community.
Alex was also a hardworking man who owned T Construction for 25 years, known for his integrity, skill, and dedication. His hobbies—fishing and gardening—reflected his peaceful spirit and his appreciation for God’s creation.
In December of 1985, Alex met the love of his life, Sylvia, and on October 24, 1994, they joined their lives in marriage. Together, they built a home filled with faith, strength, and devotion—serving side by side in ministry and in life for over four decades.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Nora Vasquez, and brother Ruben Tenorio.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Sylvia Tenorio, who faithfully served beside him in every season. He is also survived by his children:
• Juan Molina and wife Molly
• Dario Molina and wife Dora
• Lisa Cisneros and husband Jose Cisneros
• Sara Tenorio and husband Pete Hernandez
• Laura Flores
• Robert Molina
He is also survived by his brother, Vidal Tenorio from San Antonio and his brothers and sisters in Christ from House of Restoration.
He was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, each of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
Pastor Tenorio will be remembered for his powerful preaching, his compassion for the hurting, his heart for evangelism, and his ability to make every person feel seen, valued, and loved. His life was a living testimony of God’s grace, and his legacy will continue to shine through his family, his church, and every life he touched.
Visitation will be held from 9 AM - 8 PM on Wednesday July 8, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6 - 9 PM on Thursday July 9, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Friday July 10, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home with interment to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts of all who mourn his passing. May the Lord strengthen his family, comfort his church, and remind us that those who die in Christ live forever. Pastor Tenorio fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Now there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness in the presence of our Savior.
