

Pastor Antonio Lucio dedicated his life to serving God and ministering others. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. Alongside his wife Pastor Maria Lucio, he faithfully served at Tempo Jerusalem, and she served at a Sunday school teacher. While he worked as a bus driver. Pastor Antonio and Maria dedicated themselves to ministry and helped lead many lives to Christ. In 1976, he began a Christian music ministry group that traveled and ministered throughout various communities. In 1981 Pastor Lucio began ministering at his home church. Just a few months later, he started holding services in a local park, where the growing congregation soon recognized the need for a permanent place of worship. Through faith, dedication, and perseverance, the church was established and built in the early 1980’s. At the time of his passing, Pastor Lucio faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of Central Evangelistico Pentecostal Chruch. Pastor Lucio served diligently in many capacities, including church administration, preaching in men’s services, maintaining church facilities, and supporting the spiritual growth of his congregation. His passion for sharing the Gospel also led him to open a Christian bookstore, further extending his ministry beyond the church walls.
He was born on July 4,1932, in Cameron, Texas. He left his earthly body and went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2026, at the age of 93.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fermin and Doncilla Lucio; his children Diamantina Lucio and Martin Lucio; his grandchild Henry Martinez; his sisters Maria Flores, Eunice Zapata, Rufina Mendez, Juanita Hernandez, and Dolly Ramirez and his brothers, Jose Lucio, Samuel Lucio, Frankie Lucio, and Joel Lucio.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pastor Maria Lucio. Daughter Linda Morales and husband Luis. Stepsons; Gilbert Gutierrez and wife Rose, Tony Gutierrez and wife Cindy, Armando Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez and wife Lola. Grandchildren Michael, Desi, Jr, AJ, Aaron, Ashley, Michael, Brandon, Luis and Jonathan. 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Sylvia Martinez (Late husband Carlos Martinez) Delma Lombraña and husband Rafael Lombraña Sr, and Joel Lucio.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; Rafael ”Nuñe” Lombraña and wife Debra, Monica Sanchez and husband Ricky, Roy Lombraña, Elsa Peña and husband Brock, Thomas Martinez, Jon Martinez and wife Erica, Martin Benjamin Lucio.
Along with 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; He is also survived by his brother Fermin Lucio and many nieces and nephews.
Pastor Antonio Lucio leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, family and service. His impact will continue through generations of loved ones and the many lives he has touched throughout his 93 years.
A Prayer Service will be 6:00pm June 8, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held 10:00am June 9, 2026 at Central Evangelistico Pentecost Church, 2802 Paint Rock Rd, San Angelo, TX. Committal Service will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
