Betty Lou Harkness, 75, of San Angelo, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in a local nursing home. Family visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Betty was born Feb. 14, 1938, in Obion, Tenn. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Dale Harkness of Carlsbad, Jeff Harkness of Brandenburg, Ky., and Steve Harkness of Alamogordo, N.M.; a daughter, Cathy Harkness Hoard of Alvin; 12 grandchildren, Melissa Bortz, Summer Hulseman, Robert Robert Harkness, Josh Hulseman, Amy Hanker, Sherrie Harkness, Randy Harkness, LaCrissa Napoles, Erika Miller, Josh Miller, Zac Nichols and Blake Harkness; and 21 great-grandchildren.
