

Bill S. Pentecost, 88, of San Angelo passed away peacefully on February 12, 2014 in the beautiful Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Meadow Creek in San Angelo, TX. Bill was born in Jean, Texas on April 10, 1925, a son of the late Will and Betty (Ferguson) Pentecost. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1952. After graduating, he proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during the Second World War. Bill was highly decorated during his military service being awarded the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, 2 Bronze Stars, the WWII Victory Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, the Air Medal and he was even commended by the General of The armed forces with a letter of Appreciation for his service during WWII. Those were his proudest and most memorable memories. After two years in the service, he worked 30 years for M’System Groceries, managing Sales and Advertising. Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends, especially his neighbor, Juan Flores. Bill also enjoyed working in his yard. He leaves behind a large family. His wife Sarah and his special dog, “Pepper”; His Step children, David Carlile, Daniel Carlile and his wife Patti, and Darlene Elliott and her husband James; 9 Grandchildren, Daniel Lee Carlile, David Maxwell Carlile, Danielle Micheala Carlile, Kayla Verral and husband Travis, Taylor Sifrit and husband Tyler, Darcie Montgomery and husband Frank, Dylan Watkins, Heath Elliott and wife Lindsey and Heather Johnson and husband Trey; 12 Great Grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and two brothers. The Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 14, 2014 at Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Roach officiating. The family would like to extend a most sincere thanks to all of Bill’s caregivers.
