
The life of Bill Flint expired on October 26, 2011. Bill was born to Andrew and Viola Flint on March 18, 1928 in Runnels County near Ballinger, TX. Bill was married to Patricia Hazel Bishop of Ballinger on April 30, 1949. Patricia preceded Bill in death on February 27, 2009.
Bill attended public schools in Ballinger where he was active in all athletic activities that were offered. Bill enjoyed playing football for the Ballinger Bearcats in their regional championship year of 1946. Bill served in the military as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Bill served the State of Texas as a Department of Public Safety trooper for 28 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, for 40 years he enjoyed officiating high school and college football in Texas and New Mexico, he enjoyed hunting all game but especially enjoyed hunting rattlesnakes and won the Sweetwater rattlesnake round up several years.
Bill is survived by his son Bruce Flint and wife Jane of San Angelo, son Randy Flint and wife Lana of Ballinger and daughter Cassandra Cistone and husband Dan of Pflugerville, 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Bill leaves this life with one of his favorite passages: Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust. The earth being the sustenance to all mankind; from it he sprang into it, he must return.
