

Blas Maltos Rosales, Sr. of Eagle Pass, TX passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was born on February 3, 1942 in Durango, Mexico to Armando and Petra Rosales. Blas married Maria Espino on in July of 1964 and had 7 children. He began his career in general construction, working for the city of Dallas, TX as a Utility Inspector. Blas loved to travel, enjoying McDonald’s breakfast, playing pool, dancing, watching action movies, spending time with his family and will always be remembered for telling jokes that we never got to hear because he couldn’t tell them over his own laughter. He was preceded in death by his parents Petra Maltos Rosales and Armando Rosales, Sr., his brother Anastasio Rosales, his sister Esperanza Rosales Rodriguez and his son Blas Rosales, III. Those left to cherish his memory are his life partner Maria de Jesus Rosales, his brother Armando Rosales, Jr. his children Maria del Rosario Cardenas, Hilda Lucia Cardenas and husband Pedro Cardenas, San Juana Rosales, Diana Luz Garza, Annabel Garza and Blas Rosales, Jr., his grandchildren Pedro Cardenas, Jr., Kevin Cardenas, Crystal D. Garza, Selene Riojas, Jeanette Cardenas, Joshua Mata, Javier Garza, Jr., Magdalene Aldrete, Isamar Garza, Justin Garza, David L. Garza, Terri Y. Cardenas, Brandy N. Garza, Ashley M. Escobedo, Brandon Garza and Eric D. Longoria, his great grandchildren Jon A Cardenas, Joel Garza, Amaiah Ynostrosa, Kevin J. Cardenas, Lexus N. Garza, Abrianna L. Garza, Nyaila Cardenas, Aundray Garza, Mia A. Riojas, Destiny G. Garza, Adrian Rodriguez, Jr., Jessica Riojas, Yaneli Garza, Pedro G. Cardenas, Kimberly Riojas, Livia I. Aldrete, Arlena E. Cardenas, Nathaniel A. Rodriguez, Oscar M. Carrillo, Gabriela S. Aldrete and Rigoberto Carrillo, Jr. and nieces and nephews Felipe Rodriguez, Blanca Rodriguez, Leticia Rosales, Antonio Rodriguez, Johny Rosales, Armando Rosales and Formin Rosales. A celebration of Blas’s life will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blas Rosales, Jr., Pedro Cardenas, Pedro Cardenas, Jr. Kevin Cardenas, Jon A. Cardenas and Tere Cardenas.
