Bruce and I were in the Air Force together and attended the Russian language course at the Army Language School, Monterey, CA, in 1957 - 1958. After we graduated, we went to the National Security Agency for additional training. Bruce was then sent to Shemya, Alaska and I was sent to Karamursel, Turkey. We corresponded for a while but I never saw him again after leaving NSA. We enjoyed many good times together. 

To the family of Mr. & Mrs Deere,I am so sorry I did not know.  I loved Mrs. Deere. She was a very good friend.I am so sorry I did not get to see her. Susan Rodriguez, Robert Lee Tx.

Bruces mother and my mother were friends when they lived at Valley View in Browndwood.  Bruce & I couldnot figure out where they were talking about. In Sept. Of 2009 my dear friend, Sherry Abbott Manley, drove my mom & I all over Brownwood & 
mom lead us to Valley View. Back behind of the old Montgromery Ward & not far from the old Medical Arts Hospital. We called Bruce from on the hill top and told him we found it.  Bruce and Linda Carole  and I shared so many memories since we graduated in 1957.  I finished my senior year @ GREEN B. TRIMBLE HIGH SCHOOL & Linda Carole @ Poly Tech High School in Fort Worth, Tx.   Bruce was a one of kind man.  He loved his Lord & Saviour, his family and his classmates. I talked to Bruce up to two weeks before he left this earth to join his love of his life, Linda Carole.  I sent cards up to that time.  I left my name & number on the last card &ask one of their children to call me. You are all in our prayers.  I know you will miss both your parents, but they are together with all that went before them.  One day we will all be togather.  What a day that we be!!!!  Rejoice!!!

Read of Bruce's passing today. Sorry I missed his services. Bruce was a valued mentor and provider of services for my ranching operation in Coke County. He contributed greatly to my success as a ranchman and steward of the rangeland resource.

Brother , wish I could have been there for You. One thing for certain You should have known was that I loved You and Your Family I know that you should be  on Your way to see Linda Carrol. So sorry to hear about Bruce and Linda-Carol. They were both wonderful people and I enjoyed working with both at NRCS. Linda-Carol was always talking about her kids and grandkids. Bruce was always such a snappy dresser. Always looked great in a Stetson hat. What great folks they were. My sympathy for your loss.
