

Charles Frank. Schlather, 77, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Monday, November 4, 2013, in San Angelo. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 11, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Patterson and Rev. James Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
Charles was born November 14, 1935 to Robert and Mary Schlather in Eden, Texas. He graduated from Eola High School. He married Carol Ann Dunn on March 25, 1960 and they shared 53 beautiful years of marriage together. Charles was a long time, faithful member and head usher of Harvest Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force. After the service he went to work at Palmer Feed and Supply where he worked for 44 years before his retirement. Charles was a loving husband and father who devoted his life to his family and friends. He was very outgoing and always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts forever.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Charles Frank Schlather, Jr. and Daniel Ray Schlather; and one sister Roberta Bulkey.
He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Schlather of San Angelo; children: Saundra and Bert Hanson of Detroit Lake, MN, Chuck and Traci Schlather of San Angelo; daughter-in-law Brenda Bannert of San Angelo; grandchildren: Seth and Bryce Hanson, Wayne Schlather, Corey Schlather, and D.J. Schlather; brother David White and his wife Janita, of North Carolina.
Pallbearers for the service will be Seth Hanson, Bryce Hanson, Wayne Schlather, Corey Schlather, D.J. Schlather, Ted Weeaks and Jerrel Harmon.
