Our beloved son & brother, Chris Hawkins, peacefully passed away at his home in San Angelo on March 5, 2023. He was only 37 years old. Christopher was born in San Angelo on May 16, 1985. He graduated from Central High School in 2003. He shortly thereafter moved around Texas to find his own niche.
Chris had a quick wit, was comfortable with all people, and never met a stranger – even as a baby all he ever wanted was for people to say “Hi” to him. Chris was also a successful self-taught I. T. man. For anyone who had the privilege of knowing Chris, you obviously knew he had a kind, sweet soul. Some of our fondest memories came from Little Chris “tearing it up” with his wakeboard at Lake Nasworthy. Above all, Christopher had a great relationship and understanding with the Lord.
Christopher was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lorne Vincent of Akin, SC and Harvey Hawkins of San Angelo, TX; and his aunt, Lorinda Chriesman of Dallas, TX.
Left behind to cherish Chris’ beloved memory are his precious son, Preston of Houston, TX; parents, Ray & Lisette Hawkins of San Angelo, TX; brother, Brad Hawkins of Austin TX; and sister, Aschley Hawkins of Hawley, TX. Also left are his nephew, Bryce McKinney of Odessa, TX; Sterling Dean Daniel of Hawley, TX; niece and nephew, Raeli Hawkins and Conner Hawkins of Austin, TX; maternal grandparents of Marfa, TX; paternal grandmother, Garlene Hawkins of San Angelo, TX; maternal grandmother, Carol Vincent of Akin, SC; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will no doubt miss him forever.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 in the Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel.
