After struggling with Juvenile diabetes, Christopher B. Werner passed away on 11 Feb 2011. His funeral service will be 10 A.M. Thursday February 17th at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vic Simpson officiating.
At only 19, Chris was well traveled. He lived in many different countries including Germany, Japan and Turkey. After graduating High School, Chris decided attended Angelo State University. It was then he fell in love with San Angelo, TX.
Chris was most alive in the company of his friends. He enjoyed spontaneous car trips to nowhere in particular just as long as his friends were with him and music was playing. Chris seemed to be able to find enjoyment in the simplest things life had to offer. Chris was a self taught chef. He never stopped eating and would throw every ingredient into a pot just to try out the result. It wasn’t about the taste as it was about the experience. You could always count on Chris spark a debate and test your positions on life’s toughest topics. Chris was always known to have a goofy grin on his face.
Chris felt every emotion so deeply. Like the wings of a bird, he was strong but yet so fragile. He loved his friends, brothers and family very much.
He is survived by his mother Connie Tinkham and his “Pop” Phillip Monk and his three brothers Kyler, Shane and Jr., all of Huntingtown, MD. He is also survived by his father Bobby L. Werner and his stepmother Deanna Werner of Greybull, WY. Chris is survived by all his friends that he considered his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in the name of Christopher B. Werner.
Chris felt deeply and loved hard.
