SAN ANGELO Nelda Rae, or "Pat" Cobb passed away Oct. 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at St. Marks Presbyterian Church. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way. Pat was born May 2, 1927, in Hastings, Okla. She graduated high school and went to business school in Kansas City, and afterward went to work at a small clinic in Slaton, Texas where she met her husband, John Cobb. Pat helped her husband build his medical practice in Lubbock. She loved to paint, sew, and crochet. She enjoyed music, especially music that got your feet tapping. She loved a good joke and a funny story. Her wit and good humor will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John L. Cobb; and her son Gregory. Pat is survived by her sister, Betty; daughter Stephanie; son Rodney; son-in-law Paul; grandson Peter; and granddaughter Robin. Online condolences may be made at shafferpioneer.com.
