

David Franklin Hill Jr., 72, passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born on December 11, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas, to Rose and David Hill Sr., and later moved to Texas as a child, where he would spend the rest of his life.
David was a dedicated truck driver whose career spanned many years and experiences. He began working in the oil field, later hauled livestock, and eventually partnered with his beloved wife, Dee, as a driving team. Together, they shared the road, taking turns behind the wheel and traveling around the clock. They made lifelong friends along the way. - We love y'all! In 2004, David retired from the road and concluded his career with Energy Transfer.
In February 1990, David married Dee Ann Hill. They recently celebrated 36 years of marriage. David is preceded in death by his parents, his son, David Louis Hill and his best four legged friend, Bandit. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dee Hill; his son Alan Hill; his grandchildren, Autumn Mercer, Drew Hill and Alana Hill and one great grandchild, Brock Williams. He is also survived by his siblings, Jim Hill, Regina Daniels, Brenda Hare and Chris Hill.
David will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and friend. He had a deep love for hunting and fishing, and cherished time spent with his dogs, Smokey and Taco.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all family and friends for their support and kindness during this difficult time.
