

Della Blaschke Braden, 90, of Wall, Texas went to be with the Lord at Senior Care Rehab Center Tuesday, April 3, 2012. She was born to Theresia and John Schacherl on April 22, 1921 in Moulton, Texas. She married Leo Blaschke on October 18, 1936 in Moravia, Texas. He preceded her in death in November 1976. She married David Braden October 22, 1981 in San Angelo, TX. Della was a devout Catholic at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall, TX, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters and St. Helen’s Altar Society. She was in a domino club for many years and enjoyed playing scrabble with her husband for 30 years. Della was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who devoted her life to her family. She was an awesome cook who enjoyed baking and cooking meals for her family and friends and gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Della is survived by her husband, David Braden of Wall, TX; her daughter, Jo Lynn Rackler, of San Angelo; her step-daughters, Sylvia Brown and husband Danny, of Midland, TX, Marlene Landenberger and husband Danny, of Midland, TX. and Kim Courtney and husband Michael, of Big Spring, TX; her Step-Son, Ronnie Braden and wife Ursala, of Germany. Also surviving her are 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and numerous other relatives and nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church Cemetery Pavilion with Father Chinna Pagidela officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Bart Brown, Chad Brown, Justin Sefcik, Dick Braden, Harry Braden and Leroy Schacherl. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
