Dennis Emil Pelzel

Dennis was born to Fritz and Margaret Pelzel on May 5, 1936 in Bethel, Texas.

Survivors include his wife Carol Pelzel of San Angelo, Texas; Joe Pelzel and his wife Susan of Eudora, Kansas; grandchildren Reid Pelzel of Eudora, Kansas, Spencer Pelzel of Dallas, Texas and Fallon Allison of San Angelo, Texas; and brothers William Pelzel of San Angelo, Texas, James Pelzel and wife Marcie of Rosebud, Texas, Calvin Pelzel and wife Mary Ann of Wall, Texas and Freddie Pelzel and wife Nancy of San Angelo. Dennis is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Fritz and Maggie Pelzel; his daughter Janice Pelzel; brother Wilburn Pelzel; sisters-in-law Ruby Dell Pelzel and Doris Pelzel; father-in-law CT (Bud) Campbell and mother-in-law Janie Campbell.

Dennis was a sales manager for Hemphill Wells shoe department and a sales representative for Red Ball Footwear, and the Acme Boot Company. He was employed at Alladdin Flooring as a sales representative. Dennis loved helping people. Dennis loved his kids and grand-kids. Dennis especially enjoyed spending time with them and being involved in their activities. Dennis like to fish and hunt and was a west Texan at heart. Dennis also enjoyed helping his wife, Carol, with her craft fairs. Dennis loved telling jokes and had a joke for almost any topic. He loved making people laugh and be happy.

A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with burial following at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
