Dorothy Louise Hamby

Dorothy Louise (Peggy) Hamby passed away peacefully on Sep 2, 2016 in her home in Encinitas, California. She was 90 years old. Services will be held in San Angelo, Texas at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Sep 17th, 2016. She is survived by her two sons, David and his wife, Linda, and, Steve and his wife, Janie. Her grandchildren include, Jaime and his wife, Shauna, Heather and her husband, Trey, Tim, Travis and his wife, Veronica and Jason. Her great grandchildren include, Tyler, Trent, Andrew and Madisyn Hamby. She was born in San Angelo on Aug 4, 1926 to Charlie and Gertie Louise Hagerty. She had an older brother, Homer Hagerty and two sisters, Mary Hunt and Virginia Kinsey who both lived in San Angelo until their passing. She was also the aunt to Tomasine Hunt Spieker and her late husband, Charles, Kay Kinsey Bounds and her husband, Ronnie, Rick Kinsey and his wife, Michele, Don Hunt and his wife, Kelli , Jay Hamby, Jenise Hamby Caudle and her husband, Bill, and Jaral Hamby. Peggy was married for 55 years to Arlon Hamby who was also from San Angelo and passed away in 2003.
