Dorothy W. Jost, age 80, of San Angelo, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday September 20, 2018. Dorothy was born January 28, 1938 in Gonzales County, Texas to Roudie and Ida Hohensee.
Dorothy graduated from Miles High School in 1956. She married Emil Jost on April 19, 1958 and the couple began their family.
Dorothy was an active member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She loved painting, traveling, reading, decorative gardening, scrapbooking, playing cards, and cutting out cartoons for her friends and family. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life, and she enjoyed every minute she spent with them.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Roudie and Ida Hohensee and granddaughter, Taryn Ritchey.
She is survived by her most precious blessings, her husband of over 60 years, Emil Jost; her son, Gary Jost; daughter, Laren Green and husband Wes; daughter, Sandy Spann and husband George; son, Tony Jost and wife Tammie; son, Jeffrey Jost and wife Missie. She is also survived by her most treasured grandchildren, Brian, Tessa, Matt, Stacey, Jared, Heath, Hunter, Halle, Taylor, Jake, and Justin and great grandchildren, Jaxon, Shaylie, Colton, Jenay, Tanner, Alex, Cole, Chase, and Charlotte.
Also surviving her are her brother, Rudy Hohensee and wife Barbara; brother, David Hohensee and wife Eunice, and sister, Carolyn Hohensee as well as many other relatives and friends.
A Rosary and Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 24, 2018 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with the interment to follow at Holy Angels Columbarium.
