

Dorothy Blanchard Stanford was born in Blanks, Louisiana to Mary Paxton Blanchard and Albert Cyril Blanchard on March 22, 1923 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 17, 2021.
“Dottie” was a loving Wife, great Mother, beloved Grandmother and adored Friend. She graduated as the Salutatorian at Livonia High School and then attended Louisiana State University where she graduated with a Home Economics degree. She taught school for twenty-three years in the Northeast School District in San Antonio, Texas and six years in the Harrisburg Pennsylvania School District. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Honorary Teachers Sorority.
“Granny” is preceded in death by her husband William Aaron; son Charles Stephen; mother “Nannie”; father Albert and two brothers Albert Jr. and Frank. She is survived by her son William Jr. and wife Remica; daughter-in-law Kim; seven grandchildren William III, Shanna, Amy, Christy, Paul, Charles and Amanda and twelve great grandchildren. Dorothy will be buried beside her loving Husband of fifty-four years in San Angelo, Texas on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
