

Durell Freeman, 86 of San Angelo, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at a local San Angelo hospital. She was born to Fred and Mary Jane Chauncey Altenbaumer on February 10, 1927 in Ashdown, Arkansas. Durell married Charles Freeman on January 10, 1947 in Wink, Texas. They had three sons: Ricky, Mike and Kyle. They enjoyed spoiling their 11 grandchildren: Chas, Kyla, Colton, Kandyce and Kassy Freeman; Bill and Heath Hodges; Vanessa Smith; and Kelly, Peyton and Zoe Jones.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She also owned and operated Durell's House of Beauty where she put smiles on everyone's face! She was a shining example of a lady, wife, mother and friend. Her grandchildren loved their Memaw! She enjoyed life to the fullest with the love of her life, Charles. They are dancing again at Heaven's gates!
A memorial service celebrating Durell's life will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home Chapel in Snyder, Texas. Rev. Jim Drake will officiate. Durell will be laid to rest at the Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Texas. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo, Texas and Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home of Snyder, Texas.
