

Edwardo “Eddie/Lalo” Reyes Cuellar, 93, of San Angelo, passed away Wednesday in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late, Rev. Valeriano Casillas and Juanita Reyes Cuellar on November 23, 1922 in Eola, Texas. Lalo married the love of his life, Mary Moya on August 7, 1947 in San Angelo. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for over 20 years with Harris Auto Supply. Eddie’s work ethic and integrity were inspirational to many generations that followed his lead. It has been said that Lalo was never angry and had tons of patience. Eddie was known for his cooking, especially his menudo. He enjoyed gatherings with family and friends and had the ability to make everyone laugh. Eddie will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, Michael Cuellar, Sammy Cuellar and David Cuellar; 2 grandchildren; and brothers, Robert “Bob”Cuellar and Roger Cuellar.
Survivors include his children, Danny Cuellar, Ronnie Cuellar and his wife, Lydia, Eddie Max Cuellar and his wife, Angie, James Cuellar, Tony Cuellar and his wife, Michelle, Veronica Cuellar and Amber Trevino and her husband, Jeremiah; 26 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson, who all lovingly called him “Popo”; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2016 in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel with St. Mary’s Catholic Church providing the celebrants. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2016 in the Johnson’s Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Cuellar officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Eddie’s sister-in-law, Lupe Gonzalez as well Hospice of San Angelo, the Adult Enrichment Center, and the Regency House for the loving care he was given as well as to the family during this journey. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of San Angelo or the Adult Enrichment Center in Eddie Cuellar’s memory.
