

Elodia A. Rodriguez passed away peacefully Friday, March 30, 2012 at her home. Elodia was born February 20, 1940 in San Angelo, Tx. to Manuela and Manuel Aguirre. She married Albert G. Rodriguez on January 1, 1960. She worked for many years at Shannon Hospital. Elodia was a devoted and longtime member to her church Iglesia Methodista Unida Bethel Church.
Elodia was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband Albert Rodriguez Sr.; her mother in law and father in law Ismael and Frances Rodriguez, brother Dan Aguirre; sister Rachel Niavez; brother in law Victor Rodriguez, sisters in law Louisa Aguirre and Yolanda " Jolie" Rodriguez.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Diana Arocha and her husband Gilbert Arocha of San Angelo, TX; Her son Albert G. Rodriguez Jr. and his wife Corrine K. Rodriguez of Katy, TX; Five grandchildren; Erica Lisa Gonzales; Kevin Ryan Arocha; Isabel Anne Rodriguez, Caroline Roxanne Arocha, Clarisse Marie Rodriguez, and one Great-Grandson Eric Albert Martinez. She is also survived by her Brothers Noe , Sam and Manuel Aguirre. Her sister Bertha Montez and many numerous nieces and nephews.
Elodia was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Christian. She loved being surrounded by family. She always worked hard to make sure her family had anything they needed. She treated every person that walked into her home as if they were her own. Especially her nieces and nephews. To them she was known as "Tia Yoya." She loved cooking for her family. She was famous for her delicious tacos, enchiladas and ice cold tea. She loved her role as a Grandmother. Her grandchildren each had a special bond with her. Nothing made her happier than spending time with each and every one of them. She will be truly missed by so many people. We all loved her very much and will remember all the great memories we shared with her.
Prayer service will be held on Monday April 9, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at Johnson's funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Johnson's Funeral Home then a burial to follow after at Lawnhaven Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are Kevin Arocha, Jason Martinez, Eric Martinez, Michael Aguirre, Sam Aguirre, Ricky Stroud and Robert Aguirre.
