Erasmo Garza, 82, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on January 18, 2021. He was born on May 20, 1938 in Matamoros, Mexico to Enrique Garza and Concepcion Benevides. Erasmo married Natalia Torrez on January 27, 1963 and together they had four beautiful children. Erasmo was employed as a concrete finisher with Jascon Construction for 30 years. He had a true passion for carpentry and concrete work. He loved to barbeque and pitch washers all while spending quality time surrounded by his family. Erasmo was a proud member of River City Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all his heart.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 58 years, Natalia Garza; his son, Eddie Garza and wife Mari; his daughter, Gloria Banda and husband Martin; his daughter, Patricia Garza and Emilio Garcia; his daughter, Anita Garza; his grandchildren, Eddie Garza III, Cassie Garza, Laura Banda, Samantha Diaz and Anna Harding as well as 8 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by brothers, Quirino Garza, Jilo Garza; and sisters, Rosa Garza, Amalia Garza, and Gloria Palacio.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. The family will gather at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10 AM, Thursday, January 21 to go in procession to Fairmount Cemetery for an 11 AM graveside service. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren Eddie Garza III, Cassie Garza, Dominick Garcia, CJ Banda, Nathan Banda and Nicolas Banda. Services will be livestreamed on Johnson’s Funeral Home Facebook page.
